Super heavy fat bike. Owned one for a couple years and then sold it on CL for close to what I paid. Overall, its good for the money, but it's a very challenging fat bike for anything other than mostly flat (it's not geared for hills at all).

Is this designed for riding on sand? This thing weighs 53 pounds, trying to figure out what people are buying it for exactly.

Great exercise bike for working out on any terrain. That said, it's much to heavy for any mt biking.

It is a cheap bike that many people think looks cool. It is very user friendly, as the wide tires give a smoother ride and are more stable. It is also better for larger/heavier riders.

It is very heavy, but it is a $200 cruising bike, not a $2000 competition bike. It is nearly as cheap as you can get for a fat bike. It is a good way to try it out and see if it is something you like, without spending much money.

Yeah that guide specifically talks it up for riding on sand and snow, which I get, I also get the increased weight capacity. I would think for cruising paved or gravel roads, or mountain biking you'd do far better with a typical hybrid or mountain bike.

Many riders have more than one bike. Don't try to think about it as better or worse than a mountain bike. Just think of it as different.

Many people enjoy riding fat bikes, but they dont replace road, hybid, or mountain bikes. While it may be true that they excel in snow and sand, but can still be fun to ride in other conditions. Plain and simple, they are fun. They put a smile on your face and add a uniqueness to the ride that other bikes cannot offer. It is slower and a bit more work than a standard mountain bike, but they are a fun change of pace.

I am 295 and interested in this bike. Should I eat more donuts before I purchase?

Much like a house, you can grow into it. Inaugural ride should be to the donut shop, however.

I had one. It wasn't that bad. Like stated before, it's just for fun. Would be fun for camping. If you Google the model there is a blue one with some good tires that is pretty nice. People really really dug it wherever I went. Sold it due to lack of room. I had planned on putting on a electric motor of some kind but just a few years ago, the kits were too expensive for me.

They had these at Costco last year. I think the sales were poor. These were down to $100.97 or something by the time the summer ended.
