These are 4 years old. Harman Kardon discontinued them awhile ago, where did Newegg even find stock of these?

It looks like they are being sold directly by Harman Kardon. They are also available directly from Harman on their website, but at the $280 price:

They are no longer sold by Harman Kardon new, they have been discontinued awhile ago.

Your link is also old refurbished stock, like Newegg. Wonder if Newegg got their refurbished stock directly from HK.

The Newegg listing is being sold by the Harman Kardon Official Store. When you add it to the cart it says "Sold by: Harman Kardon Official Store"

Good Bluetooth speaker, but the WiFi/Apple play is sketchy. Continuously loses WiFi connection and beeps when disconnecting/trying to reconnect. Also app sucks, and it's the only way to adjust the bass. Sounds great, but only use now as a Bluetooth speaker. I prefer the Onyx to this speaker.

How is the bass on this? Easy to link multiple together?

So this is a great deal vs the HK website but what is the warranty? Is it only 30 days?

I really want to buy these. I want 1 for each floor of my home but I'm not sure about ease of linking them and how well DLNA works. I would put my music on a HDD connected to my router or play from my phone. I also see that people say there is no bluetooth security (not too surprising, my bluetooth headphones from Sony don't have any either, and I hear some SONOS don't either). I'll be living in a townhome with other units nearby so I don't want them to hijack the system via bluetooth.

EDIT: From looking around it seems they cannot be linked together. I saw one post say that two could be connected in stereo config but then in the Q&A portion of the product page someone from HK said they cannot at this time be linked together. Bummer Frown

Unfortunately linking together for multiroom sound is a relatively new technology. These are 4 years old and do not have all the features of more modern speakers.

No sorry. Currently have the Samsung R3 and R5 from previous slickdeals. Pretty decent all around multiroom speakers.

How do you like them? I see the R3 is on sale right now for $100 at a couple places.

Can you link more than 2 together in unison?

Thanks!

Just bought them. 1 R5 and 2 R3s
