These are usually in Front Page and I didn't see any recent listing... and hopefully no TD for listing it as $46 when it's $45.99 =P

I got in on this same hammock a couple deals ago and it was a waste of $46 for me. While it is portable in that the assembly / disassembly is pretty easy and doesn't require any tools, for one it didn't fit inside the included bag as the frame poles were simply too long.

However the main problem I had with it is it's just not comfortable. Admittedly this is the first hammock I've ever laid in that didn't have cross bars, so if you lay in it inline with the frame, the material pretty much wraps around you like you're in a cocoon, which just wasn't comfortable or relaxing for me. And I could not lay in it crossways like the girl pictured , who I'm assuming is probably 4 feet tall. When I tried that my legs simply fell off completely and if I moved up to even try to fit them in my head would fall off, and I'm only 6' tall. So perpendicular did not work for me at all

Again a completely different feel with not having cross bars along the top & bottom. I thought about trying to rig something up but it's just not designed for that so I don't think it would work. I'm not knocking the deal or the price, I just simply didn't find it comfortable at all, hence a waste of money for me...

OMG! People need to be more informed and learn how to properly use a hammock. This is the real og hammock. And it one of the best style to sleep in. The ones with the bars are "Americized". And those are not comfortable. Second thing hammock are supposed to cocoon you. And you don't lay parallel to the hammock. You lay on an angle till there are no pressure point on your back. Also the length of rope slack is adjustable.

PS this is a great price. Run and grab one. Had the same one for 3 years already.

Amazing watching this thing drop in price over time. I got it on a deal for $87 maybe 3 years ago (regular price $125) and it just continues to go down. The color of mine has faded in the Florida sun over the years, but the material weave of the hammock is good and the stand hasn't rusted on my covered patio (indirect exposure to the elements), so I give it points for overall durability.

While technically portable, the metal stand isn't the lightest thing ever made. Mine tends to sit in the same location, but it can be disassembled fairly easily and carried around if you wanted to.

As for lying in it, for hammocks like this you're supposed to lie slightly off axis for most comfort, rather than parallel to the hammock direction. Agreed though, that you cannot lie fully extended perpendicular to the hammock as pictured unless you're really short or tuck your legs in some (curled up and/or sitting).

At $46 I'm almost tempted to buy another. If you don't have one already, I personally think it's a good price for a hammock + stand.

Ordered mine from Rakuten and have used it only once right now and I like it. At $46 it is a must buy if you are looking for a portable hammock (I have my in my RV)!

I own two of these. The first one I got more than 4 years ago. It still works, some rust on scratched off paint. My second one is exactly this one. The powder coating is a lot nicer. I actually paid the extra and have the one that has an arm on one leg up that has a two cup holders and a cellphone and tablet holder. That one has held up 2 yrs no problem and still looks new. Very worth the price. for the longest time the stand by themselves were $100.

This looks really similar to one they sell at Grocery Outlet for $49. I wonder if there's a difference. I wonder which one is better?

Same thing happened to me.

I had ordered 2 of them, one for my wife and one for myself, and ended up receiving 4 of them...
