They have been around for a while. Great customer service. I did this a while ago for a free newest pi board (not sure what version it was at the time) it was like spend 25 or something I think at the time

Hmm.. Never heard of arrow. Looks a lot like digikey. Will add this to my list of suppliers.

Arrow is legit. They're not super old, but they sling a ton of stuff and hold great promos like these. Last time around they ran something like "buy $40, get a free Pi3," then I think I remember a "$100 off $100" kind of sale shortly after.

A lot of us have to pay $20-25 to ship anything from Adafruit on account of their bad carrier contracts, but Arrow carries most of Adafruit's stuff at near the same cost. I'm loading up on neopixels and trinkets again with this deal, thanks OP!

Arrow is awesome. I've made a few $100+ orders through them and also some smaller ones. Their "Next day free shipping" (usually only when above $50, now, but sometimes it still promos lower, like it is for this promo apparently) is a headliner, but what gets lost is that they often swing free slow shipping on smaller orders, whereas Digikey and Mouser and even Jameco will usually kill you on shipping on smaller orders. A couple months ago I ordered just 50 transistors I needed for a project, for like $2.50, and got free slow shipping still through Arrow.

Pricewise they generally seem to be easily competitive with Mouser et al. Sometimes what's available differs, but usually there's a comparative alternative for similar pricing.

Arrow can be a bit aggressive with trying to make sure they're meeting your needs in the hopes that you'll turn into/turn out to be a bigger client, but their sales reps have always been nice even once it's made clear that I'm just ordering for personal projects, and their BOM/etc tools are really pretty nice actually. I haven't played with their OrCAD design tool, but it definitely looks professional grade and is free, and then integrates nicely with everything else.

Anyway, all of my experiences so far have been good with them, I'd happily recommend them, I'm trying to figure out I'll need/can use/will actually use in the next few months that will total $40 now :p

Any suggestions as to what to get that is just $40? Everything they are pushing looks to be either another arduino or $90+

Arrow is what RadioShack should have aimed to be. Great service and deals on new tech and parts.

Being the old lump of coal that I am, Arrow used to mean "wrinkle free dress shirt". But now, I see that I need to "get with the in-crowd" and give this new Arrow a little spin on my Google machine.
