uhh... it's a vacuum, suction should be the main thing it does well. Please explain what you mean by "it is terrible."

Just an FYI:

This item is covered by neweggflash.com's Manufacturer Only Return Policy.

Return for refund within: non-refundable
Return for replacement within: non-replaceable

BTW I got in on this deal last time for 299 and pricematched with a local bestbuy. Great vacuum and very quite and not very high pitched.

This vacuum has been on sale nearly constantly for the past few months. It is terrible. The only thing that works well on it is the suction.

What makes it terrible? Would this be an upgrade over a well maintained DC25?

Consumer Reports rates this as the best Dyson. I own it and it is fabulous. It works as well as my beastly heavy Kirby (which is always the top vacuum with a $1500 price tag).

That's the same vacuum as above... and it's $399 on Google Express so 25% off would still be more expensive than this sale at $299.

Is this worth the extra $35 over the Animal+ that Costco is selling?

Not sure if price matching at bestbuy is better or not

This Is lowest price I have seen. I have Dyson in past and can not say how good they work.

For those who are interested in the canister version of Dyson Cinetic big ball animal (the one with MSRP of $599), Bed Bath & Beyond B&M (not online) now has that in store for $350. I have been able to apply the 20% off coupon in store, got one at $280. I don't want to open a thread to get those thumb down because it's fully YMMV... I saw a few in at least two stores locally (gilbert az) if you want to go and check.

I have this...upgraded from the animal 1. The upright locking mechanism is worse and the 2 piece hose is more difficult to dock. The auction is almost too good, hard to push on carpet and literally picks up bath mats or the like. No suction height adjustments...people actually drill holes in the suction plate to reduce the suction. But it's a solid unit and should last for 10 plus years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy despite the "improvements".
