Gemini Slate 2-channel DJ Controller + Serato Lite DJ mixing software

$119 + free shipping

Normal price is around $185.

This is a great controller to start DJ'ing with for a super cheap price!

It is a registered Serato controller, so when you plug it into your computer, you can install Serato DJ Lite for free.

Controller is comparable to the Pioneer DDJ-SB2, but also has high-end features like LED multi-colored pads and a Slicer function.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but is this the same controller?

I'd assume the "Serato X" bundled software is just serato dj lite but I could be wrong. Thoughts?

Repp'd! I was intrigued at $100 so at half, I'm in. I found myself at Guitar Center messing with the much higher end Medi Controllers and I forgot how much I loved it. Waiting patiently for something like this to come around and I'm ecstatic I waiting lol. Thank you again.

I'm tempted but almost all of my music is via Spotify these days. Seems like Deejay is the only app with Spotify integration

My son will LOVE this. Got the Walmart bundle. Thank you!!! It's not quite clear what the bundled software is, likely just the intro free software, but who knows, from the description it seems like it is the fully licensed program.

Question for beginners or people considering picking this up to start dabbling in mixing..

Do you buy/download albums, songs, etc in order to use this bundle? I haven't bought music in ages due to Spotify, so curious how people build their libraries these days (or if you just have to do it the old fashioned way and download songs you want to play with).

Yes, you do need audio files on your computer so they can be added to the library for mixing. I buy when I can, but SoundCloud is often a good source. Some of the software that Algoriddim makes has Spotify integration. There may be others but I can't keep up.

If you go that route, you would want to download the Windows/Mac trial to see how it integrates. Lot of times these DJ controllers are designed for one program but you can search online to find mappings. The mappings will allow you to use all the capabilities/buttons of your native Serato controller on another program such as Traktor, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, etc.

Looks like the same thing. Solid find. The Serato X bundle sounds meaningless because I agree that it is DJ Lite... which is a free download anyway.
