For not that much more (if you are in the market for 3) you can get a brand new pack of three 1st Gen at Newegg for $259.99 w/free shipping.
Sold and Shipped by USA-BRAND-NEW via Newegg.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...gnorebbr=1

The Gen1 is a great system. Both 1st and 2nd generation eeros' max rated transmit speeds are about 240Mbps at 2.4 GHz and about 600Mbps at 5 GHz. Over a wired connection, the max throughput locally is 1Gbps. The Gen2 with tri-band gives you more ooomph (yeah, that's a technical term).

Its a mesh system that is reliable. Not unpredictable like Orbi or Velop.

Thanks OP! I paid $66.01 when I ordered last weekend. I see now they're $67.52 but still a great deal.

My Amazon review:

I purchased 3 of these refurb units. Took about 10 minutes to finish installing the first one and less than that for each of the other 2. After a few minutes up and running I got a notice that there were updates available which i chose to do then. A couple minutes later I got a notice that updates were successful. I like that the app gives me a list of everything connected to my network. Couldn't believe it when it said I had 22 devices connected but the listing of each item made it easy to verify. These 3 Eero's replaced 3 wifi routers all with different names. Not sure if this works with other systems but most of my wifi devices were hooked up to the router in my family room so when I was ready to install the Eero's I unplugged that router and then in the setup I gave the Eero network the same name and password which meant I didn't have to enter a new network name and password. A real time saver and much cleaner setup now. So far I love these and am tempted to buy another for my garage/shed.
