I have this trimmer with 2 2 AH batteries and 1 4 AH. Have 1/4 acre lot which house takes up a good amount. The 2 AH is more than enough for the trimming I do. We have pond in the back I spend the most time on with weeds near the waterline. The trimmer isn't that light so the 4 AH would just make it heavier IMO.

I only use the 4 AH in the mower. The 2 AH for the hedge trimmer, this trimmer and blower.

I just started mowing a month ago, and my Black & Decker string trimmer batteries are just shot, so I was in the market for a new trimmer. This one seems to get good reviews on Amazon, and the camel says it usually sells for $130ish.....so $91 seems like a good deal to me. Hope it's good!

I saw in a previous post that you will really want the 4 AH battery once you start using the trimmer. Can someone with one of these trimmer comment?

This is a first for me that something on Amazon can't get here in LA

I bought this trimmer in the fall of 2016 for $99. Glad to see that it hasn't dropped in value by much in 2 years.

I have this one and the brushless version. You do not need 4AH in my opinion. Most people buying an electric weed Wacker are not trying to mow the amazon forest with Smilie I can't even tell you how long you get with a 2ah because I never run out but that is at least 30min of continuous use. Greenworks tools are really good. The only expetion is the extension trimmer: it is flimsy and the plastic gears broke on me after less than 2 years of using it twice a month for an hour. It is actually a great tool but not durable otherwise but not durable enough. Anything else I got from greenworks works fine: brushed and brushless weed Wacker, brushed and brushless chainsaw (prefer the brushed one actually), blower. I use the trimmer with different attachments.

Awesome product. I have a small yard and the battery lasts a good 4 uses.

I have this, works great! I can cover my entire yard, 1/2 acre with privacy fence in back, edge my driveway and use the blower, battery still shows about half left....it is way easier than the gas model I have and works just as well.
