Ignoring the fact this is a good deal for Yankee, I'd encourage people to try Bath & Body 3-wick when they're on sale for $11 instead. Yankee candles have always been hit or miss when it comes to being powerful enough to fill a room for us and I was skeptical about B&B until trying a few. Trust me when I say they've never let us down yet.

Just my $.02 if you've ever found yourself in the same position.

I agree, bath and body work fills a room better and the scent lingers long after you have blown out the flame. The one difference though is yankee burns longer like weeks longer. However that's to be accepted since BB are three wick and yankee being two wick.

I used to love the Bath and Body Works candles but I found their burn time to be very low (25-45hrs) and they always leave a half inch of unturned wax at the bottom. The large yankee candles have a much longer burn time (110-150 hrs). We primarily used candles for obviance though so the burn time is important to us.

I always stock up when these deals come around. I find they burn a lot longer than Bath and Body candles and usually the smell is stronger too. I always read the reviews on the throw and I can pretty much see if they're weak or not. I've had pretty good luck this way. I have not yet purchased one I could barely smell.

My mistake I misread bed bath and beyond for bath and body works. Never shop there, so no clue about candles from there. Thank you for those who corrected me. Either way below is still a good price point for comparison.

To make a comment on B3, just to share some pricing points since I am an avid shopper the slickest deals I ever found on Yankee is at B3 when certain holiday smells go on a final clearance price. Last jar I found was called "candied pecans" which is actually on the site for the sale right now. These were $7.50 for the large jar and purchasing two for $15 I could use a $5 off $15 and there you go, $5 per large Yankee jar. Takes some effort and a bit of luck for finding smells of your preference but it happens a few times a year.

I agree, but BBW candles only last about 1 1/2 days of burn time. They smell wonderful, but dont last at all. The jars are great for candy dish accents afterwards though.

Ambiance? Wink It's a fair point on burn time, as I didn't actually know what the difference was but 10/10 we would take 1/3rd the time of amazing scent versus triple the time of "can you smell it?" As others have said, the scent lingers for hours afterward whereas I can't think of a time Yankee did. Perhaps that could factor into the "burn time"? shake head

The go on sale every other month? And were on sale up until yesterday. Their semi annual sale starts on the 4th, so it might pop on sale again.
