Trying to organize a trip for my entire family and looking for a warm place for Christmas this year. Flying from Raleigh and Detroit.

Must haves:
$1,500 or less PP
Family friendly
All inclusive

Im doing research now with prices. Travel date around December 23-28 but flexible.

It seems Mexico is the least expensive. Then Dominican, and then Jamaica and prices seem to go up from there.

Is there anywhere else I can look?

I'm not sure if there's something that would work within requirements, but I cannot say enough great things about Aruba. It's utterly amazing. I just stayed at the barcello, it's family friendly all inclusive, but no idea about the price. It was an amazing trip.

Aruba is very pricey. Thanks though.

Southwest coast of Jamaica.

Stayed here for a week with my wife in the Cottonwood Cottage.

They have other "family-sized" villas.

This place is unbelievable! nod

Jamaica and DR aren't the safest places if you plan to go outside the resort.

St Maarten is cheap. Probably even cheaper after the hurricane damage.

Can usually pick up cheap airfares to US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Try Southwest or Jet Blue. We've gotten good fares on American. We've used AirBnB and VRBO for rentals of homes and apartments. It's holiday time, so don't procrastinate. Rates are usually higher then

I have traveled several times to Jamaica with my family. I have never experienced any issues on or off the resorts. The locals were always very respectful after a firm no. Actually, it is safe outside of the resort. You just have to to be smart while traveling around like any other place (domestic or international).. We love the Hilton Rosehall or Jewel Runaway. They both have water parks on their resorts.

DR is also safe. The same rules apply for this place. If you stay in Punta Cana, the resorts are not near each other. There isn't much to do in the area off the resort. I would like to suggest Now Onyx as a great resort geared towards families.. Their kids program is amazing in addition to all the other amenities.
