Amazon currently at $174.99 [amazon.com]

Good deal if you do not want to buy the 2 pack for $300 and only need a single camera.

Yes there is a monthly fee, but to some it is worth paying.

Would love to get this if the pricing was more aligned with Arlo or Ring where 1 price = multiple cameras. Right now cheapest option is $50 dollars a year per camera with $25 for each extra for 5 days worth of storage.

Just be away that Nest Aware (cloud recording service) is expensive. Nest Aware subscribers receive better motion and audio alerts, as the system leverages advanced algorithms, face detection and depth sensing.

Basic subscription that covers 10 days of continuously recorded video costs $10 a month or $100 a year for the first camera. Each additional camera is 50% off or $50 a year. A 30 day history costs $30 a month for the first camera, or $300 for the year plus $150 for each additional camera.

FYI, they now have $5/month for 5 days and $3 additional cameras.

There is a $5 /month for 5 days of continuous recording, which is convenient. There was a hit and run in front of my house and hit my buddies car, but since it was outside of my ring "alert zone" since I didn't want to be alerted every time someone parking in front of my house. It was also outside of the alert zone of my nest cam in my driveway, but it recorded everything and we were able to get the make and model of the car.

Thanks. I didnt know they added a 5 day option. Nest is still very overpriced.

Ring Protect cloud recording service is 60 days of recording for $30 per year or unlimited cameras for $100 per year. Nest does not even offer a 60 day plan, but a single month of their 30 day plan costs the same as an entire year for the Ring 60 day service.

From my understanding, ring only records events vs full 24/7 video. I have a ring doorbell and was looking at getting their cameras, but it seems like the nest cam's service just review a lot better.

Have ring and nest both. Ring is cheaper because it only records on events whereas Nest is continuous recording. Whether you need continuously recording or not depends on individual's need or use case but I feel it's a little unfair to compare between those 2 just on price.

$150 is a pretty good deal for this outdoor cam.

Already have two of these, and this is a great deal (same price per camera as the two pack usually is). The image quality is great, and the software is honestly worth the monthly fee. Plus fewer issues as Arlo has very publicly been experiencing.

Just as a note, the indoor camera is also showing as $150 as well.

I have never needed to to record when there is nothing going on. $150 is a good deal for the cam, but the service is still very pricey.

Again depending on individual needs. Some need continuous recording and for that Nest can't be beat. For price of a cup of coffee a month ($5) Nest uploads and stores 400GB + of data, I wouldn't call that pricey.
