Rear camera looks like it's one of those $5 ones, front looks like a poor ripoff of the Roav....

Not saying that this is a good product, I know nothing about it. But judging a camera by its looks seems a little far fetched. I've seen tiny cameras with impressive performance. Again, not saying this is a quality product, but judging the quality from a image seems a bit far fetched.

Here's a link to the same cam at Amazon to help make decision making. For me, it doesn't have enough reviews to consider it:

For those interested in how the rear camera is powered, see the fine print. "Rear camera can only powered by the Cruiser car adapter." Duh.

This camera has been mentioned in a clip from CNET's Roadshow. Shouldn't be too bad

i woulnd't pay $1 for any battery dashcam. Not worth risking $30000 car for battery powered dashcam. Temp inside a car is 150F when it is 90F outside and you are parked uncovered in sun for 5 hours.

If you dont drive a lot and park outside uncovered in sun for hours and hours daily when it is 90F outside and 150 inside, YOU MAY FIND YOUR CAR IN FLAMES due to battery powered dashcams.

The dashcam will burn first and battery pop out and then things may turn bad if not noticed! I had few anker dascham BURNT and then eventually had to refund me $120 for hardwire installation.

random brand, battery powered, with most likely a random sd card.

At this price your already close enough to an a119 (1ch) without a card.
Do yourself a favor and get something that its proven to be reliable.

There are two very real possibilities with this one, it either explodes and/or doesnt even work.

I have some dashcam, battery powered sitting in a black car. Its been in use for over 3 years now.
They car is always parked under sun in the texas heat. Never seen it burned, the battery died in 18 months.
I also have a TomTom GPS still strong after 2 years. In short not all batteries are made the same.

SHHHHHHHH.... let the guy with the inflated idea go off. It'll eventually pop with 150 heat when he enters his car. Also it's quite funny how the guy knows the CAR WILL GO IN FLAMES.

Perhaps you can mount the rear facing camera to your rear windshield to catch a license plate during a rear end collision, or at the least help with an accident reconstruction for the insurance companies.
