There is a new banner in the atom app that if you go to see 4 different movies as long as they are paid you will receive a free standard movie ticket.
Free to sign up and if you already have an atom account, you are already enrolled.

You have a year to see 4 different movies and then after you receive the digital reward in an email, you have 30 days to go see a movie for free.

JOINING ATOM REWARDS

What is Atom Rewards?

Atom Rewards is our new free membership program that rewards you for doing what you love — going to the movies! Members enjoy everyday benefits like faster checkout, easy cancellation, exclusive offers and the ability to earn theater loyalty rewards. Plus, for a limited time, you'll earn a free movie ticket to any standard showtime when you see 4 movies! Premium formats like IMAX, 3D, Dolby, special marathons, VR experiences and fan events are excluded.

How do I join Atom Rewards?

When you sign up for an Atom account you automatically become a member of Atom Rewards!

I already have an Atom account, do I have to sign up for Atom Rewards too?Nope! Existing accounts have automatically been upgraded.

EARNING A FREE REWARD TICKET

How do I check my reward status?

Atom will send you an e-mail/notification when your reward status changes. You'll get an e-mail/notification update after the movie is over. We're working hard to build a new feature that will let you check your status at any time, so stay tuned!

I just bought my tickets but my reward status hasn't changed.Your reward status changes after the movie you're seeing has ended. You'll get an e-mail/notification with a reward status update after the movie is over (this can take up to 4 hours).

I saw four movies, where's my free ticket?

Awesome! You'll receive an e-mail/notification when you've earned a free ticket. This can take up to 4 hours after your fourth movie has ended.

I purchased more than one ticket but my reward status only changed once.Your reward status increases with each movie showtime you see, not with each ticket you purchase. For example, if you buy 4 tickets for 1 movie showtime, your reward status will increase by 1. If you see the same movie on another occasion (a different date or showtime) your reward status will increase each time.

I placed two or more orders for the same showtime but my reward status only changed once. Your reward status increases with each movie showtime you see, not with each order you place. For example, if you place 2 separate orders for the same movie showtime, your reward status will increase by 1. If you place 2 separate orders for different movie showtimes, your reward status will increase each time.

How long do I have to earn my Free Reward Ticket?

You have one year to earn your Free Reward Ticket after seeing your first qualifying movie.

I used a promotion on my order. Does that still count toward earning my Free Reward Ticket?

Discounted orders count towards earning a Free Reward Ticket, but orders containing only free movie tickets do not apply. Concessions purchases do not count towards earning a Free Reward Ticket.

Does using a free ticket count for one of my four qualifying transactions?

No, you must pay for at least part of the price of one ticket in an order for it to count as a qualifying transaction toward earning a Free Reward Ticket.

REDEEMING A FREE REWARD TICKET

How do I use my free ticket?

Your Free Reward Ticket is added to your account after you see your fourth movie. This typically happens a few hours after your movie ends. The free ticket will automatically apply to your next purchase for any standard-priced ticket (premium formats like IMAX, 3D, Dolby, special marathons, VR experiences and fan events are excluded). You'll see the Free Reward Ticket applied to your order on the checkout screen.

How long do I have to use my free ticket?

Once your Free Reward Ticket hits your account, you have 30 days to redeem it.

Can I save my Free Reward Ticket and not have it applied to my next order?

At this time, the Free Reward Ticket will automatically apply on your next qualifying order and cannot be saved for a later purchase.

Interesting. Since each showtime counts as one movie no matter how many tickets you buy it makes sense for each person to buy a ticket on their own account rather than buying them together.

Or 1 person has multiple accounts.

Honestly, it's meh.

Fandango is better.

4 tickets, same movie or otherwise and you get $6 towards anything digital or any ticket. No exclusions. They're also running a 2x bonus for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

$12 for two tickets Dolby Cinema, + $6 reward = $3 tickets.

Great for families. Atom is just hopping on with a half ass attempt.

This seems to work best with $5 AMC Tuesday and Tmobile discounts

But then you're still limited to 4 different films.

Families can do Fandango $5 Tuesday and do 4 tickets for one film and get $6. So $20-$6 = $3.50 a ticket.

T-Mobile needs to start offering it more as well.

It depends. 4 tickets thru Atom gets a full standard ticket, which may be a $20 value depending where you are, vs. only $6 towards purchase. If you are buying multiple tickets to same show on the same Atom account, Fandango will often be better tho if you don't have an Atom promo. There are definitely pros and cons to each. Promos or discount codes on one vs. the other can greatly tip the scales. Either way, combining with Tuesday deals is good combo.

Your math is off. 2x DolbyCinemaTuesTix @$12/per=$24. $24-$6 (for 2xJWFK promo cashback)=$18, so $9 tix, unless you have the cheapest Dolby Cinema anywhere...

I see a lot more atom deals which can get you to rewards quicker. Esp with gift card deals and T-Mobile Tuesday deals. This isn't as bad. I haven't used fandango in a long time because of all the atom deals lately. Guess depends what platform you use more.

Ouch. And to think MoviePass is eating those kinds of costs?

No wonder they're going broke quick.

Fandango is fine if you are paying full price. They hardly ever do discounts anymore. Atom has them almost every week. When Atom has $5 off deals we use them on tickets that are $5.09, so its possible to get a free ticket by spending $0.36 cents.
