Thanks, OP.

Got the $20 off.
Got free ShopRunner shipping because of my Amex
Went through Chase.com portal supposedly 2% rewards
Paid with Paypal linked to Chase Freedom which should get 5% rewards

I do not know if I will get both the 2% and the 5%.

My first SSD. Can't wait.

Wow great price. Soon enough we'll be at low $20's for 120GB like what I paid for a SanDisk 120GB 2 yrs ago

at this price, it makes sense to buy a few of them and put them in raid 0 to increase storage and practically double, and maybe triple the speed depending how many are in the array.

Just installed the 240gb on my desktop. Picking up 2 of these for the other computers. Time for mass replacement of all mechanical boot drives.

Easiest way is to use easus to do backup, if you can get access to a sata to usb, it will clone it on the fly logged into windows

search google on opening your laptop model, remove/unplug old drive, install new one.. it's pretty straight forward. if you don't want to lose your data, then you could make a backup image of the old drive, but i'd probably just save the important files and reinstall the OS and start fresh..

You have to use the chase card as the payment if you're using the portal I believe. Paypal negates the portal. You could couple paypal with one of those cashback sites probably though. Those should work, and I did that with multiple sites this quarter.

As far as the drive is concerned I installed a couple of the 240gb drives for a friends work computer and a friend's father and the drives seem snappy enough. I think my newer computer boots in 10 seconds with an Evo 850, and their's may boot in 11-12 seconds with a very slightly older computer. Neither drive has died so far. I wouldn't hesitate at this price. Trust this brand way more than Inland, Patriot, Team Group. Wouldn't use any of those.

You will never go back to booting a PC with a conventional hard drive again

I just reinstalled OS on a sata drive. Can I just ghost it onto this SSD or install from fresh?
