Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited will discontinue price protection on 08/26/18.
Check the updated benefit guide here -> https://www.chasebenefits.com/freedomvp1

Here is the 55" deal to add to above.

LG B7 55" Dell Price: $1,299 Credit Card Price Protection Claim: $300 (TV Super Stores $999)
Free Dell eGift Card: $200
10.5% cash rebate site: $136.50 (10.5%)

$1,299 - $300 - $200 - $136.50 = $662.50 plus tax

Go to the 10% cash rebate site.

Navigate to the LG B7 55" with no sound bar, it should look like this link. http://www.dell.com/en-us/work/sh...me-theater

With Citi Price Rewind, Chase Freedom or other price protection credit card, use TV Superstores for Price Protection: http://www.tvsuperstores.com/Search/?q=OLED55B7A

The $669 goes down even more, when you get $65 (5% rewards) from Chase Freedom used through PayPal.

Chase Freedom Card - Check the April-June Calendar for Paypal : https://creditcards.chase.com/cas...iCELL=6C1Y
Quote from Chase :
Purchases made using PayPal at other current 5% quarterly categories will be awarded a total of 5% Cash Back rewards on up to $1,500 in combined purchases
You are looking at $604 plus tax on the $1,299.

I want to see a thread where people who bought last weekend were successful/unsuccessful with price matching via their cards (Citi/Chase/Discover), especially with tvsuperstores

Pretty easy to HTML hack any price you want for any retailer.

Not when they verify/keep screenshots of daily pricing and/or included items in bundles

That is taking it to the next level. Modifying the ad is fraud and even SD'er need to have atleast some sense of morality.

We are putting forward a price to the Credit Card claim handling agency which we found online, which is a genuine advertised price, even thought they dont actually honor it.

VS

Modifying an ad to your liking and claiming insurance. This way you can get almost everything for free or 500$ less unless ofcourse the PP is now being taken away for exactly this reason and ofcourse the bot apps.

Umm no. It is not a genuine advertised price because you cannot get it for that price.

I can make a website in 20 minutes that advertises $899 for the 65" OLED, take a screenshot of it, and send that to the credit card company. Would you consider that better than modifying html.... just create new html? Because thats what bait and switch sites are.

You are looking at $604 plus tax on the $1,299. Then, you ask yourself if the Samsung was worth the same price. Big Grin

It is not a genuine price if you know it to be fake.

You can create an Amazon seller profile and list this TV for $500 if you want and then screenshot the Amazon listing. It would be a "genuine advertised price" but also be 100% fake. That use to be an extremely common practice and is why Best Buy will now only price match shipped and sold by amazon prices and no "just launched" fake sellers.

When you file a price protection claim to a known scam website, you are no better than someone who modifies a price. If you cannot actually buy it for the listed price, it is just as fake as if you modified it yourself. Don't try to claim some moral high ground.
