PROS
- Good sound. Not hi-res by any means, but a nice, clean, sound with good bass. Not muffled as you would tend to see at this price point.
- Good build. Metal hinges (collapsible), metal reinforced sliders, brushed stainless facade, adjustment sliders w/ satisfying clicks, soft-feel protein leather, plush ear cups & headband.
- ANC does not change sound signature. Sounds virtually the same when ANC is on or off. Very mild white noise from ANC, unnoticeable when music is playing.
- MIC for calls is decent. With the ANC on, your voice will sound a bit "further", but it will sound cleaner. With ANC off, your voice will sound upfront, but will experience some minor clipping. Overall, however, the mic works well for calls and better than you'd expect at this price range.
CONS
- ANC only works for low frequency droning sounds. Do not expect anywhere near Bose QC 35 or Sony 1000X (or 1000XM2) performance. Any review that indicates they are close, is likely a fake review. I have both the aforementioned headphones, and these are not close. Not at all. However, they still work and the ANC white noise is very mild, so for commutes, etc. they are still useable. For planes, you can use these, but you're really better off with the Bose or Sony.
- Although advertised as "over-ear", the ear cups are on-ear. I have very average ears, very average indeed (some people even comment they are smaller than average), and these are 100% on-ear.
Overall, for $28, it's pretty good deal. You'd be hard-pressed to find something better for the same price.
