Advance Auto Parts has Chevron Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner BOGO in-store or 50% off online with in store pickup

12oz [advanceautoparts.com] - $4.49

20oz [advanceautoparts.com] - $6.99

Just to get ahead of the comments that always appear in these Techron threads:
- This is the concentrate, not the same as the lower concentration Techron fuel injector cleaner that sells for cheaper (usually the 6 pack at Costco)
- This is different than Seafoam
- This product may or may not do anything depending on who you ask
- Bob is the oil guy is a good source of information on these cleaners

Was curious but from what I can see, if you buy gasoline from one of the places listed here, your gas is already doing what this product is doing. If you don't, it sounds like this product may help.

If so, why is Costco still selling it?

Correct. From what I've researched, if the place you get gas from is in that list, they already are adding it as additives to their fuel.

Because they like money. Buyer beware. Also think you're making an assumption every person who goes to Costco gets gas there.

Any indication that top tier gas stations are using stuff as good or as strong as the Chevron Techron ? Only a couple of them advertise using Chevron Techron, that does not mean they all do.

Plus, you trust these franchised privately-owned gas stations to have the owner add the generic detergents or cleaners to specs, and not cheap out on such an expense?

Not all Costco locations have gas stations
For locations that do have gas stations, their members may not fill up there exclusively
This can be used for all sorts of engines, not just the ones you want to fill up at Costco (i.e. marine engines)
