This seems pretty good for some woodworking parallel clamps.

(2) 18'' Bessey K Body REVO Jr Parallel Clamps - KRJR-18
(2) 24'' Bessey K Body REVO Jr Parallel Clamps - KRJR-24
(2) 36'' Bessey K Body REVO Jr Parallel Clamps - KRJR-36
(1) $50 Gift Card

You are obviously very passionate about this. Let's take a small step back. I don't see any posts in this thread claiming people should buy these or they are an idiot. However, you are being just as judgemental toward purchasers of these clamps as the people you claim are judging others for not buying them.

I personnally own about 20 Harbor Freight clamps and only recently decided to get 4 Bessey REVOs. Can the average hobbyist get by using solely clamps from Harbor Frieght? Absolutely. I did for years. I admit honestly since buying those 4 I've not been able to do anything I couldn't do before, so you are correct there. But I can also tell you that when I use the parallel clamps my glue-ups go more smoothly and with much less fuss. It is overall a more pleasent experience for me.

I am old enough to remember when there were still cars that didn't have power windows and that feature cost extra. Could we get by just fine without them? Absolutely, but man they were nice! Sometimes you aren't buying things to fit a need, you buy them because they are nice to have.

It is not necessary to be harsh on people that may prefer to pay extra for parallel clamps over cheaper bar or pipe clamps. The convience may be worth the extra cost to them. For those that don't find the convenience worth the cost, that is understandable as well.

It always amazes me how these guys in their 60's or 70's that've built furniture their entire life have somehow managed to do all of that without the need to buy really expensive clamps and go out of their way to tell you that you dont really need them. Many of them that spend an astronomical sum on their planes, modern powertools, etc end up with harbor freight quality clamps and are perfect content. Yet you go to an online forum, especially on slickdeals and the armchair experts will tell you this is exactly what you should buy and frankly if you dont plan on spending a thousand or better on clamps, you're an idiot. And not just guys in their retirement but also a lot of middle aged guys, some of the most respected online, some that're engineers with a lot of fiscal support and know-how on how different clamps effect the workload wont use these clamps.. and they're making machinery out of wood!

If you're building some specialty item that really requires everything these have to offer then fine but if you're 95% of consumers out there that just need decent, good clamps.. save your money. If not owning any of these is good enough for successful engineers and famous woodworkers, then it's probably a safe bet that you dont need them either.

But instead people will insist on the buy buy buy mentality and justification.. it's your wallet, your money, your tools.. coming from someone that strongly believes in not buying junk, clamps are the one thing I've bought from HF that I've been very happy with. I couldn't justify spending this much on clamps no matter how much research I did, it ended up being "if an engineer / old woodworker doesn't need them, neither do it."

I miss the old K-body clamps (I have ones so old that they have "made in West Germany" stamped on them). I think the compact clamping area was better than new bulkier clamping surface IMHO.

BTW, these are "JR" version with 900lb clamping pressure which should be fine for most users. When in doubt just use one more clamp!! You can never have too many clamps.

Yeah. I have a ton of Revo 50" clamps.. but I'm really thinking about this for smaller stuff. 900lbs is plenty for 99% of jobs, especially smaller ones.

Nice! Beats the deal at HD for the 24" purchased individually.

After the last 2 days, have 2 each of the 18, 24, 36, and 50. Should put my other clamps to shame Smilie.

I didn't think the HD ones were Jr.

I'd jump on this if they were the real Revo's but I'll pass on the juniors. Still a decent price I think

The junior clamps get very, very poor reviews. There's a reason the store is trying to dump these with gift card incentives. I'd rather spend my money on the non-junior clamps that are highly rated and proven, not a slimmed down cheapen version meant to make the company more money.
