Yup. Megabus is one of a better alternative transportation--maybe better than Amtrak depending on the routes but for the price, it fare well for Megabus Smilie

Example, from Las Vegas to LAX overnight ride was $9.00 and the trip took 4.5 hours. Was not comfortable to sleep on the bus by sitting. Mind you I'm 6.275 ft tall large frame however for $9 I can't complain as the usual fare during day/night service ranged from $24.99 to $49.99 depending on the time of the year. I went during August 2013 so yeah

Last time I offered a job to hard working veteran in food serving, he never even showed. He was more than content to beg on the corner rather than working to make money!! No wonder the other guy wanted to hire migrants for that job.

They have to do something. Flixbus has landed in the colonies. They are seriously undercutting Megabus on the same routes. I checked LA-LAX. $18.99 on Megabus in the afternoon. Same time and same day, $2.99 on Flixbus. Yes, if you are willing to travel in the early morning or late at night, Megabus drops to $9.99, but that's still much more expensive than Flixbus.
