Because once you have one that works well, you feel that every monitor should have one.

I didn't agree until I got two, now I have four, and probably soon will have an articulating arm for all the monitors in the house. (Four desktops on LAN).

Better desk space, sit stand positions and showing others your work is just a few of the things an arm will get you.

Brother, if I could someday answer that, I'd have it all figured out.

I am redoing my office shortly. One of my 1st objectives is to clear off my desktop and hang the monitor on the wall. I have 3 desks where I need VESA monitors and lately I've been so disappointed by all the monitor deals coming through that aren't Vesa compatible. I'm looking at you Dell.

The 27 inch curved HP posted a few days ago has a VESA mount. It's listed at $170 but quick chat with customer service knocked $25 off (told them the $25 coupon wasn't working). I just got mine in today and it's great.

Saves space not having a mount and it gives a lot more options in regards to positioning. Also the stands on these LG monitors suck. Just about every one I've tried will wobble. I have a 29" LG that I almost returned until I switched to a vesa mount.

Forget the vesa mount. Light bleed is a more worrysome factor of this monitor unfortunately.

While not as clean or good looking as built in vesa, there are adapters to make most monitors vesa compatible. They look like large X's and grip the monitor around it's edges. Of course it's an extra cost too. Just an fyi if you found a monitor you liked without vesa.

You sure about that? Specs say it comes with adapter.
