I already have a HDHomeRun Prime connected to the network. I don't want to split the coax again (it already is split going to the cable modem), so I can I just connect this to another coax in another room that has a powerline plug?

Yes assuming you get unencrypted channels.

None of them have 802.11ac wireless if that's what you're asking.

Dunno. I assume it's not needed because most cable channels are already encoded in H.264.

This is not really a tuner in the usual sense. You need the free software to watch on your computer or you can use Plex

It says the same thing for the Prime which you say you own...

Why are you asking these questions if you own one and are the one making the thread?

It says 802.11ac because that's what they recommend for HD streaming. You have to supply your own router.

Look at the picture, it's not difficult:

He said that because this peice of hardware is wired like a nas, but for the streams to work reliably they reocmmend the destination device (if wireless) like your tablet or firetv etc, be using AC to ensure the bandwidth neceasary for smooth streaming

I never said I owned an Extend/Connect. I own a Prime. Making the thread doesn't imply I own one either.
