I just got a smoker, and am new to the pellet grill world. But this seemed like a good deal! I haven't used this brand yet, but the HD reviews are really good. 4 flavors on sale for $14 with free shipping.

Wal-Mart typically has the PitBoss 40lb competition blend for 14.99-16.99. I use these all the time with great results. They also have the single flavor 20lb bags for about 9.99-12.99 And 30lb classic blend for 12.99.

I would recommend the lumberjack pellets from Dicks, with the current 20% and free ship over $49 they're $12/20lbs. Not as cheap as pitboss but they're 100% the wood they say they are. These pellets posted and pitboss are blends that usually don't give much of a smoke flavor.

I'm pretty sure that's a lie about the Pit Boss, not sure about this brand. Don't know where you get your information..

Rookies. Pit boss flavors the wood. Stick with 100% true flavored wood. Not wood remnants with flavored oil(traeger, pitboss plus many others) Lumber jack or cookingpellets are 100% real wood. Google is your friend on this subject.

Excuse me? I'm not lying, you might want to get your facts straight. Pitboss is 100% hardwood, not 100% hickory, or 100% apple, etc. Notice how these bags are listed as hickory, not 100% hickory. Dont comment if you dont know what you're talking about.

What I would recommend is do some research on pellets and try different brands.

You can do a search online and see what other people recommend:

Lol, sure buddy. Ever cooked on a charcoal smoker and know what smoked food tastes like? Can't get close to that with pit boss pellets, you can get close using 100% flavor wood pellets.
