er no. Both are open, just the DT880 is half open vs full open on DT990.

The fully closed one is DT770.

Hmm I thought the rule was the more ohm the more resistance and the better sound?

I agree, I have used other 600 ohm headphones with the sound blaster x7 and, it is not worth the complexity IMO.

LOL dude you know you need a dedicated headphone amp for 600 ohm to take advantage of it. It makes a LOT of difference.
