Hello fishing people!!! Get this reel if you want a reliable, easy casting reel that you will love fishing with. Once you use this you will never use a spincast reel ever again, believe me, I have been through all, including the Zebco Omega. Now I use this for fishing in the salt, along with my Daiwa lexa 300 and Shimano Chronarch.

I had this reel and no way i would recommend it for saltwater. Its pretty smooth out of the box, but it is impossible to open up the side plate and service the reel due to the way the drag is.

Also, because of the quick release trigger you dont have infinite anti reverse. To me the quick trigger thing is a waste i rather just grab the line and manually open the reel.

Seems like a good price though, but i rather have a pflueger President. But if you are looking for a saltwater reel, spend more money and get a Daiwa BG.

I love mine, I have 2 and have been using them extensively for 3 years out here on the california coast. Just make sure to rinse it after every trip and you will be fine. I love the quick release trigger and will never go back to any regular spinning reel again.
