This is not a repost but a bad deal, all the eligible cards are always available with a higher discount at cardcash and raise.

Can you use accrued points/rewards at cardcash or raise?

Like the other guy said, you can't use your point for card for cash sites (and getting cash or items from the reward point sucks). Then I am interested in the iTunes gift card and it isn't easy to get them from the cash for card sites and usually not much discount from those sites.

iTunes are routinely 15% off. Still bad value. If you time your purchases you can get a better discount. So statement credits are better in this case.

If it were points, I'd agree with you, but rewards dollars is just a crappy reward system.

Amex is the biggest scam of all time. They gave me 100 points for $1 before. Then, they charged 200 points for $1. Now they said 20% off and 150 points for $1.

For example, 15000 points are for $100 gift card. Then, they gave 20% discount. So, it is 12000 points for $100 gift card with 20% discount. It should be 10000 points for $100.

Can they trick customer? Can they do that? is it even legal?

Amex statement credit is only 50 per 10k points, too low

Math is sound, 15k-20% is 12k.
Why do you say it should be 10k for $100?

I have been using Amex for a long time. They used to give 100points for $1. 10000 points should be $100.

Simply not true. Besides the fact that there's substantially reduced fraud risk given that you're buying second hand cards you also have the ability to buy other gift cards at these stores, such as Amazon GC from Lowe's.

I've been active in buying and selling second hand gift cards and I can assure you that cardcash and raise both have high fraud rates. That said, I still use them only if I'm going to make an immediate purchase and the discount makes up for the inconvenience.

That's membership rewards. Not the Amex cash rewards program.
