OOS at OD, but goes for $169.99 for the refurb version.

"Stays powered for up to 1 hour. Battery life will vary depending on the product configuration, product model, applications loaded on the product, power management setting of the product, and the product features used by the customer. As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of this battery will decrease with time and usage."

That worries me. Even if they're throwing in a new battery, it's only going to last an hour? My old Acer Chromebook did 7hrs easily

Sort of defeats the purpose of having a chromebook... I bought the Toshiba chromebook for my mother a couple years ago and she uses it 8+ hours a day. It can easily last 5 hours on a single charge while watching youtube videos.

The one I got on a previous sale from Newegg made no such claim iirc and it lasts more than an hour.

My only complaint is they put the developer switch too far inside forcing me to disassemble the computer to install Linux on it. Now, it is likely my fault but my track pad does not work anymore. Luckily, an external USB mouse gets the job done.

The way I see it, it is a good way to learn about computers. I'm getting started with i3 which is a tiling window manager. I just use the basics: meta + enter and meta + D but I'm learning.

Edit: Newegg has said it has approved my rebate. It will take maybe a couple of months to get to me.
