The deadline to submit your Cash Claim Form is July 29, 2018.

Go to benefit lookup and file your claim. You should have received an email with 10 digit Unique ID. The sender is 'Fuel Surcharge Class Action' and the subject 'Dover v. British Airways Fuel Surcharge Class Action Notice'. https://secure.fuelsurchargeclass...its-lookup

A Settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit. In the lawsuit, Plaintiffs allege that British Airways PLC ("BA") charged fuel surcharges on award flights to members of its frequent flyer program (the "Executive Club") that breached the contract (the "EC Contract") with those members ("Settlement Class Members"). BA denies that it breached the EC Contract and denies that it did anything wrong. The Court has not decided who is right. Instead, the Parties agreed to a Settlement. Defined terms (with initial capitals) used on this website and not otherwise defined have the same meaning as set forth in Section II ("Definitions") of the Settlement Agreement.

Points offered:
12,500 Avios if you redeemed once
20,000 Avios if redeemed 2-5 times
35,000 Avios if you redeemed 6+ times

Cash offering seems to vary wildly. One person offered 20,000 Avios or $305. Another offered 20,000 miles or $107. Another person offered 35,000 Avios or $955.

Any more information on this? I've been with Avios multiple times over the past 7 years. Never got a code though.

Gmail put mine in spam. Thanks for the post thebigcountry, I never would have seen it without this heads up.

20,000 Avios or $342. Taking the cash, of course.

It's nice to see a little payback for those ridiculous fuel surcharges.

Does this mean that those insane surcharges on BA while going to or transiting through London are history? Those make Avios worthless on that routing.
