Amazon has the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 Bluetooth noise canceling headphones for $129.99 with free Prime shipping. They are a bit ugly admittedly, but packed full of features and unbelievable sound quality. Nothing else even close in this price range. 24 hr battery life and also come with the option to use as regular wired headphones. Beats previous FP deal

Agree about the 3.0 probably coming. After that will probably be a 4.0 LMAO
This is a great deal either way. Feature packed and comfortable. I really like mine. Bass is definitely present but I haven't found it overpowering or distracting. Its just right to me.

Probably means a 3.0 version is coming. This is still a great deal. Bass heavy sound but if you like that this is a good fit.

Plantronics website says it has a mic. That's also what the red mute button is for. I personally like the bass and comfort of these better than the Sony Wh-1000xm2. On the other hand, Sony wins hands down on isolation, noise canceling, and other little misc. features. Good value at this price imo.

I have tried both headphones for flights and at the office. Never used the mic for conference calls or gaming.

Yes, they have a built in mic. Call quality is great.

I have the first version of these as well as the Sony MDR-1000X (costs 2x). The sound is pretty good on the Plantronics and it has heavier bass but the noise cancelling is noticeably better on the Sony.

I like that the Plantronics allows you to pair with two devices simultaneously without having to re-pair every time you switch, and the sensor that pauses music when you take off the cans though it is finicky sometimes. I don't like how they don't really fold down for easier carrying like other headphones.

Would the noise cancelling and volume be enough to defeat the sound of mowers/blowers and string trimmers? (that is, good for mowing the lawn?)

No noise cancelling headphone will eliminate that kind of noise.
