Amazon (and others?) seem to be matching... or maybe this is regular price?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079QFP26T

Focus cameras sells it with a bundle of stuff for the same price.

Just to be sure, this allows the use of Canon EF lenses on Sony E-mount cameras with enabled autofocus? B&H web description hints at it, but not explicitly states this... I actually have a Tamron lens (Canon EF mount) I want to use with A5100.

Yes, I have one. allows you to use various canon EF lenses on my e-mount Sony. (A7RIII). When you get a good focus, the sharpness is the same as your native lens since there's no glass in between. Just be aware of some limitations.
-canon lenses aren't officially supported so sigma isn't so inclined to fix problems with them
-while autofocus in daylight is pretty good, and eye autofocus works fairly well, ability to focus degrades as there's less light.
-video autofocus, forget it
-when on continuous focus mode, I've seen it lock up the camera til it reboots. It's done this several times, and is a known problem for both sigma and metabones.

I've tried the metabones V4 and didn't notice a significant (3x price) improvement. Maybe slightly better in low light. Overall, worth the $150 to be able to use my canon lenses while trying to stock up on expensive Sony glass.

would you buy this over a used metabones iv for 200?

I've read a lot of reviews on the Metabones and the MC-11 (at least for Canon lenses), and the consensus is that Metabones is "not as bad" as the MC-11, but both are sufficiently useable in good light for many lenses. For my purpose (use an existing cheap Canon 70-300mm IS lens on my new A5100 minimalist travel camera) I was hoping to grab a MC-11 used on ebay cheap, but it seems that even used ones are being bid up past $110. At that price, I mind as well buy new for $150. Or, get a used cheap Sony E-mount telephoto for about the same price and not worry about compatibility.

If you don't mind manual aperture and focus, a manual (dumb) adapter is $20.

Not $149 anymore. It's showing $249 now. Even on Adorama.
