I have some Craftsman hoses that I bought in the early 90's (91 or 92) that are still in use.
I have replaced 2 under warranty, strangely at the same time.
I also use a craftsman hose for a motion activated sprinkler to protect my garden that is on and under pressure all summer long.
I also haven't been very kind to my hoses (sometimes I leave them out all winter)
Sadly their warranty sucks now, you need the receipt and have to go to the same store where you purchased it.

Edit: I am not seeing the bad reviews, at least on this post's link other than complaints about kinking, ( it will kink )
I cannot speak with authority about a new version since I haven't purchased any of these hoses in over 5 years.

this is NOT the same hose you bought two years ago as another member has mentioned. This hose is a complete POS and is terrible. The old hoses are kick ass...

I just recently picked up the newer hoses, but have not used them yet. They are a variant (and could even come from the same factory) as many consumer grade "lifetime" hoses, in this case one I had and returned from Costco that ruptured the first hot day I left it on the lawn during the summer (I was watering new transplants twice a day). They are substantially lighter, and you can actually see the pattern of the reinforcement cloth underneath the rubber. On the old hoses you most definitely could not.

Another to make sure of is your Sears one they are running down prior to closing. One way to tell is to try to order online for store pickup. If the store you know is open no longer is available for store pickup, you need to go take a visit. When this happened with our last store in Louisville for Sears and Kmart just recently, that store had large areas of bare shelves and was obviously selling stock down without replacing it. Not good.
