I have a couple of the cheap ones that I've bought in the past few yers and gave up on them once I found that the labels started falling off pretty quickly. This label maker uses TZe and TZes labels, which are laminated (TZes labels are extra sticky) and stick much better and hold up due to the lamination.

It can be connected to the PC or used stand alone. Up to one inch wide labels in different colors. Brother brand labels are kind of expensive but lots of cheaper alternatives on Amazon. Note that this will not work with the older TZ labels and some people have complained that the software sucks but allows for customized labels. People also complain about wasted label tape but this can be reduced by messing with margin settings.

Lowest price since this past Saturday according to the Ship of the Desert.

Great find! I have been waiting for this to drop and even had it in my cart waiting. I have an older version of this label printer and it is so handy. I like that the labels are easy to remove personally as I am always changing them.

Is this just a fancy printer to get the same labels as a $10 printer?
