Got this last time. Great reel for the price.

I use mine with 50# braid on a 7'2" MH sixgill rod for frogging and other heavy cover applications.

I purchased 2 last year. Both of them no longer work. Invest your money in a better reel.

Ok, not really sure what to say. I own plenty of other reels from those brands you listed. There is nothing wrong with the speed demon by kastking.

For comparison, the Abu Black Max is terrible compared to the KK speed demon. Even my kastking royal legend is much better than the blackmax. Maybe you had a bad experience or maybe youve never used kastking before, but they do make good stuff for what you pay.

No sorry. I agree these things are horrible. I bought one last year had to return it twice because of drag and serious play. and then i literally heard it self destruct while using a crank bait. Their spinning reels have held up well to light inshore though.

Blackmax is equally as unreliable. All the major brands usually have a reel not too far from this price point that you would be better off with.

I am certainly open to some better recommendations at this price point from other manufacturers. The blackmax you agree is no good, so which reel would you suggest being better for around $50?

No problem. Daiwa Fuego ct are regularly on eBay for 60-70. Daiwa rg (65-75), quantum pulse ($40). Bps formula (50-60). With the exception of the rg which I have only tried briefly, these rest I own and see heavy use without issue.

The Fuego is definitely the best bang for your buck. I prefer it to some of my older Curados.

The quantum pulse I actually picked up for 30 at Walmart and has survived 3 seasons on saltwater swim bait duty. No maintenance just rinsing. it's gritty but reliable

Thanks, ive been looking at that Fuego, but also seen the Tatula hoovering around $90, which i may bite on.

Any experience with the Tatula? Is it worth the extra money over the Fuego? Major difference looks like the Tatula has the TWS which im not sure ifnits a gimmick or really better.

No problem. I only fished shimano baitcasters for years and just recently started branching out. My favorite is my revo stx but the daiwa is up there especially because the price.

I've never used the tws but funny enough I've actually been eyeing tatula too ha

Good deal from ebay for the tatula ct or the fuego ct.

I read some reviews and most say they see no difference between the fuego and the tatula. Going to bite on one today since ebay has 20% off. $56 for the Fuego or $72 for the tatula.
