My kids loved these when they were small. I would try them - not bad. The banana flavored ones made me crazy for a while, because they tasted familiar, but I couldn't quite place the taste. Finally I figured it out - they taste just like the cone in an ice-cream-cone. Mmm!

While only you know your baby, but I've been giving them to mine since he was about 8 months if I remember right. They dissolve in their mouths fairly quickly, so there's not much of a choking risk if they swallow without chewing it up. Nice thing about the melts is that you can line them up in front of your baby so he/she can practice dexterity when picking things up and feeding him/herself. Good snack on the go, as well.

My baby started eating them a few weeks ago. She'll be 8 months on Wed.
