United Airlines have round trip airfares traveling to and from Denver (DEN) and San Francisco (SFO) for $116, nonstop. This is United's basic economy fare.

Travel Availability:

Returns: June 19, 26; July 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25

Departs SFO: June 12, 19; July 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18
Returns: June 19, 20, 26, 27; July 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25

Use dates and book it on Priceline [priceline.com], Expedia [expedia.com] or United Airlines [united.com] directly. Bundling hotel with airfare saves money.

That would be fairly easy if you're into the outdoors (hiking, bouldering, backpacking). If I made a trip it may include a day in boulder exploring breweries and hiking the flat irons, 2 days in Denver with more breweries and other historical attractions specific to Denver, and an overnight backpacking trip or two day hikes nearby like in the Rocky Mountains. There's also hot springs and sand dunes to see too.
