"Laminated manufactured wood and particalboard"

Extremely cheap, but so is the price. Walmart quality.

Very misleading description OP, you put in the effort to put measurements and ratings, but didn't mention it's laminate?

I cant find anywhere it says "oak finished wood," but that made it in your description too. Misleading.

Didn't even need to read the description. Just a glance was enough to know that this was not worth even the sales price.

You are referring to the original price, I assume? I wouldn't expect a whole lot more than this for the so-called sale price.

No. I was talking about the sales price. If you know how to hunt for good furniture deals, you can get a much better quality one at the same price. This table isn't worth even at $80 IMO.

Shopping online? You're expecting real wood coffee tables for sub-$100? Please, do share your tips.

I've been shopping dozens of furniture sites (and big box sites, and just about anything that claims to sell furniture) back and forth for months and coming up disappointed by the styles and prices--and in this price range, this quality is pretty much all that can be found--barring some closeout clearance pieces here or there. What secrets are you holding out on?

I'm not holding out secrets. I'm holding out until such deals become available. Like you said, the key is to hone in on clearance sales or when stars align and you can double or even triple dip on deals (e.g. sale, coupon, and cashback).

Just to share one example, I bought a pretty good piece of furniture at a great price through wayfair. If you sign up for their business account (which isn't hard to do. I don't even have a business), you get a 30 day trial of their premium business account, which gives you a huge discount across their products. I then found a $100 off $1000 business account specific coupon on one of those deals sites, bringing the price down even further. Just by taking this step, I saved $200 on top of their sales price on what I needed.

I also scored an amazing cherry wood glass top coffee table for like $50 (originally more than $300) via Target's clearance deal.

It's not easy to find those deals, but when I'm determined to score a deal on what I need, I literally spend hours browsing through so many websites and every section. It's a lot of work, but it pays off.
