Anyone named "Alexa" has got to be pretty annoyed at this point...

So these USB ports will allow me to attach external drives to use as a sort of "cloud storage", right?

They should, but it's a good idea to research online if the USB performance is acceptable or not for whatever you may want to transfer/stream to and from the external drives. This can often vary a lot from router to router in my experience.

Anyone care to explain what 'works with Amaon Alexa' has to do with anything?
I mean it's a wireless router. That alone means that it works with Alexa doesn't it?
Just a lame sales tactic by 3rd party seller I presume?

Seems like this is back, at least for this moment.

Just purchased one. Lots of one star reviews that make me nervous, but I'm willing to roll the dice.

Is this the one that's been hacked by the VPN filter virus that can't be uninstalled without a firmware update

These are the supported Alexa commands, for better or worse:

1. Turning on/off guest Wi-Fi: Alexa, ask Linksys to turn on/off my guest Wi-Fi
2. Reveal Guest Wi-Fi name and password: Alexa, ask Linksys what is my guest Wi-Fi password
3. Reveal the password for the main Wi-Fi network: Alexa, Ask Linksys what is my Wi-Fi password

That is pretty slick if it would actually work!!!

There appears to be one USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port. Now, certainly the performance can vary but in general terms if I see a USB 3.0 port, it would be safe to assume it's acceptable for basic file sharing and Cloud-speed services since those are likely limited by your upload banwif anyway.
