Wanna talk about old, I'm still daily my Dell XPS 1645 I bought in early 2010 with a Intel i7 quad core 720qm, 8gb RAM, 256gb Samsung mlc SSD and ATI Radeon 4670 card. It keeps chugging along and still better then most of the cheap notebook out there.

I don't recommend buying refurb laptops from Newgg. You can expect the battery to be near end of life, 30 minute charge max. Their QA audit is: Boots to Windows? = Good to go.

Also, "Grade A" to Newegg is missing rubber feet on the bottom with moderate scratches all over the case. If you get lucky, you'll have a noisy cooling fan as the bearing is on it's way out.

I actually spent the time to write up a poor review on the HP ProBook I bought last year and they never published it. That wasn't a coincidence.

As heavy as most of the recent 17inch laptops and have to upgrade an SSD, only if you love Windows 7.

Used tons of these at my last company and have one at home I use as a mobile Ebay listing laptop.

With an SSD they are capable little machines. Although getting close to $200 I would recommend people who just want a browsing/Youtube/Facebook machine to just find a mid-range tablet that will perform far better.

Would actually be quite capable as a desktop replacement. Assuming you put in a bit more RAM and an SSD. The Benchmark on this CPU is relatively contemporary for a laptop. Its weak point is actually power consumption/battery life.

I still have the same processor in my thinkpad, it's more than enough for regular tasks, I have 20+ open tabs in chrome and it handles everything smoothly
