Should probably put "Ace hardware" in title subby, I thought it was Sears.

All the Ace Hardware stores have closed in my area.

Doubt it's good for much more than inflating stuff, and painting.

It is oil free, meaning it will be louder and probably not as durable as an oil-lubricated compressor.

1/3 HP is unbelievably TINY for a compressor of that size. I have two similar sized compressors, DeWalt and Makita, both in the ~2-3 gallon range of tank volume. They have, I think, 1.5 HP and 2 HP.

That explains why this one is so light. Amazon seems to have more accurate, non-self-contradictory specs vs. the Ace page.

If you will be working in bursts, e.g. using air impact wrenches at a slow pace, taking your time between each bolt, you can make this work. Inflating car tires will just take longer, but it will do it. But anything high-flow - painting, using an air blower, air cutting tool, etc., it will be painfully useless to use.

Craftsman makes a similar sized / priced one, which is about 3 gal and 1 HP, I believe. That would be much better than this for most applications.
