For those that bought a kayak via Dicks Sporting Goods, here is a good cart/trolley to go with it.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/TMS-CA.../141591732

Its a third party seller. Order and shipped same day..

Its $54 on amazon with two thousand plus, 4 star reviews.

Not that heavy. A few lbs. The frame is aluminum tube so most of the weight is the wheels/tires. I usually strap mine to the rear of the kayak with the wheels on each side.

It's a good deal for what it is. The tires on all of these kind of suck though and are the weak link. Or more specifically the tubes inside. They almost all will leak after a while and they're a real pain to replace only to likely leak again. I gave up on them. Better to find a deal and spend the extra money on one with airless tires up front. You'll thank me later. lol

Got something similar from amazon years back. Tires leak every year but able to fill it. Is worth the money.

Having just got back from a week in the boundary waters and shouldering a canoe for nearly 3 miles, this cart isn't indispensable. Helpful, but not indispensable.
Depends on the length and weight of your kayak.. mine is 12 foot and almost 100lb

Not sure if "not indispensable" is the best description in that case. Wheeled carts/portage dollies are illegal in BWCA except for certain areas. The only reason it's possible is because in BWCA you typically have more than one person to help carry the canoe. For fishing solo, these carts are a must for bigger kayaks.

This appears to be a great deal. About half the price it normally is. I already have a C-TUG or I might have bought one for the kayak.

I bought an Eagle Talon kayak from Field and Stream 2 years ago along with a scupper cart. Some kayaks are not tough enough to use a scupper cart on, but it has been the best cart I've had besides a C-TUG for my other Vibe Ghost 110.

I have 3 of these. Can find em on eBay for the same or a few bucks less. There's one on eBay right now for $22.xx I normally wouldn't throw eBay into a comparison but this is Walmart 3rd Party. So I feel it's comparable.

Yes, the tubes are a weak link. Might not seem like a hassle to fill them up before use but it can be a hassle if a tube fails while you're out.
Also, the red plastic wheel is cracking and falling apart on one of mine. It's probably lasted around 5 miles in total. Kept indoors. 40lb recreational kayak hauls.
I feel like these are a gamble, depending on how you're using them. I don't go far. So the $25 disposable price is worth the gamble.
