Amazon Customer Service and Ship Times

Has anyone else noticed that amazon costumer service has degraded some? and it seems like the ship times have gotten slower. instead of getting items in 2 or 3 days i get them with in 3 or 4 days with Prime.
Its time to renew but honestly most of my purchases are over 25.00 so I am not sure the increase with prime membership is worth it.

I had to contact them 3 times for one order that was a prime order and delivery date was 6 days. I also had to contact them a few other times and i swear it just seems like the customer service just wasn't what I am use to.

Without prime you will need to meet 49.00 to get FS. For me, it will be hard to find many items in 1 order while trying to catch up with fluctuating pricing in Amazon.

Have not noticed a big change with delivery times. Sometimes a short delay if item is in transit to stocking warehouse. Only negative I noticed is the old window here of order by midnight Saturday for free prime by Monday has now moved to Tuesday - which is not a deal breaker for me. USPS in this area has been iron solid for the last 6 months...no more free months of Prime for delays.

I have noticed that they are now outsourcing more of their support to foreign countries and that many of those reps do not know the amazon policies. I had one seller send me used merchandise instead of new...I left them negative feedback. When they offer me a Amazon gift card to remove it I reported it to customer service...the over seas reps told me multiple times that it was fine for them to do that. I went to USA based reps who knew the policy and they entered complaints against the seller for TOS - feedback manipulation violations.

If you get an overseas rep and they are giving you the wrong information, you can request a USA based rep at any time. They transfer you promptly. It's a good thing to use since I bet their system notes when it happens and hopefully will increase quality of service over time..

hum that would make sense and that's what they did to me. they offered me a gift card for an order but then applied the gift card to another order. Then I found out it wasn't a gift card it was some type of refund on an item i had no intention of returning which held up any refund at all
