This unit has been on sale at least twice for $49.99. That being said, it's a solid player with much better image quality than one might think.

You can't do better for under $100 IMHO.

is HDR compatible with Dolby Vision* and HDR10?
Just realized I have no clue if your blu-ray player also needs to be HDR to view HDR movies in addition to the TV being HDR.

No DV but HDR 10 compliant. Yes, every link in the chain must support dv or hdr 10. Tv, player, and any receiver etc that is in the chain.

Ok just looked at the manual for this and yeah it supports HDR. Looks like the only thing I might be missing is the right cable.
Your TV supports 4K or 4K HDR input.
• Your TV has an HDMI port that accepts 4K or 4K HDR signal.
• Your TV is enabled to display 4K or 4K HDR image
An 18 Gbps high-speed HDMI cable that supports 4K or 4K
HDR is used to connect the TV and the player
This unit can play back Ultra HD Blu-ray ™ discs. In order to view Ultra HD Blu-ray ™ videos, you need to have the following:
-- 4K/60p (color space 4:4:4) and HDCP 2.2 compatible device.
-- HDR compatible device
-- 18 Gbps high-speed HDMI cable
-- Ultra HD Blu-rayTM disc

It doesn't... but if you need a cheap UHD Blu-ray player, this is it.

Already have an X, but heard it wasn't as good as most other players so was just curious. Thank you!

I had issues with hdr handshakes between one s and Sony tv. In particular, there were issues on hdr switching from games to uhd.

In my experience, this unit is superior to Xbox One for uhd playback.

I find the one s player troublesome. This is better to me.

Never had any issue with my Samsung TV, weird.

Yes, it could be an issue between my Sony XBR65X850D and the Xbox One S. Don't really know. What I do know is that the Magnavox looks great everytime, while I had issues with my One S on uhd discs.

Is this player worth it? I've been in the market for a 4K player . I have an OLED with HDR in Dolby Vision so would I get the most out of this player?

Picked this up for $49.99 the last time around. It's a pretty solid UHD player and 4K up converter for our room with a 4K UHD TV and no Xbox One X.
