It looks like Newegg has been dropping the price of the 8TB Seagate to $140 about every three weeks. It has become more of a standard price than a sale price at this point.

Firecuda drives use SMR now, I wouldn't use it for a laptop boot drive. Fine for archive/storage/games.

They should separate out the 8TB post from that 2TB POS. It ain't even in the same deal league.

It's regularly $189.99 and currently $159.99 without coupon. It's cheaper than the WD 8TB for $150 BestBuy bay had but it's a Seagate. I'm posting for those who would like this but I'd say stay away from Seagate.
