I have none of these games which is rare unless I have a copy on twitch. It does look like I have at least 2 in Twitch.

Not familiar with 99% of this bundle, but Shadow Tactics is worth $12 by itself.

The PWYW tier 1 is really strong if you are into point and click. However, Shadow Tactics seems out of place with other games. Absolutely fantastic game, but was free for Amazon Prime (Twitch) members in March.

Ah yes. Competition for the illustrious honor of being the OP. The only way I'd have a chance against the other speedy posters here is to have a placeholder post all ready, and the second a new bundle shows up on a page refresh, hit the submit new thread button, then go back and edit the title and OP. Perhaps that's what you guys are doing, but I decided this: being the OP on a HB is not important enough to be worth all that effort and competition. The others can have the glory. :-) As long as somebody posts the HB each week, that's all I care because it gives me somewhere to post my comments which are... <drum roll>

This was a wildly fluctuating BTA. I saw it go as low as $5.20 (but I couldn't catch it quite that low) and as high as $7.40 in the first 5 minutes, IIRC. Looks like it's holding steady around $6 (its starting point) for now.

IndieGala had a Daedalic bundle for $2.99 or $4.99 in July 2017 which included many more titles. I didn't buy it because they were all repeats for me except Caravan. There have been many Daedalic bundles in the last couple years which almost always included Deponia "The Complete Journey" which is no longer complete without Doomsday. In fact, the first 3 Deponia games may be among the most bundled games around.

That said I only have Anna's Quest, Deponia "The Complete Journey", and Memoria in the $1 tier and none in other tiers. I know about Deponia Doomsday and Silence, but I haven't researched any of the other games to see what they're worth to me. Most of the time I consider more than $1 per game I want to be too high, so I will see if Caravan is worth $1 and probably pass on the rest (unless they look like top tier super duper action games) because roughly $2 per game feels too high.

Given how often Daedalic bundles occur on various sites, I don't think it's too dangerous to wait to pick up the other games cheaper.

Balloonshark, what are your thoughts?

speaking of Twitch, what happened to the quality of free games? Is it just me or was this month the worst so far?

WALL OF TEXT

Balloonshark, what are your thoughts?

It was a joke, being facetious, you know. No template btw, lol.

Also, can you not search reviews / game-play and decide on games yourself???

Insert your usual retort of others not wanting to read your all of texts.

EDIT - I've finally ignored ya, you post a lot of banter and "discussions" that could be made in two sentences; state "I could contribute" but never see you do. I recall blocking you on CAG back in the day too.

You are right, but given how often the tier $1 games have been bundled (except maybe Caravan), I expect most people here (except newbies) would have at least some of the tier 1 games.

Of course I can research the games myself and do it all the time on Steam, Youtube and gamerankings, but I still like to hear other people's comments, such as balloonshark's.

Funny how you could block me on CAG because I never had a Baguda account there, so you're imagining that one. If you've ignored me here, I'll remember if I reply to you you won't see it here as you probably won't see this post. I didn't realize you were mad at me. I'm not mad at you. I'm sorry that my comments annoy you, but join the club. I'm sure many other ADDers who hate seeing more than a few sentences have ignored me too. Fortunately there are some people who like my detailed comments, maybe not on the subject of games, but on other subjects.

Some would say Banner Saga 1 and 2 are pretty decent. But, I hear you. Other games not anything that excite me.

I am only opining on games, as you are right, at least for me, I have most of the Tier 1 already. Maybe as a society we are running out of quality games to give away?

Regarding you detailed commentary. . .don't sweat what others say. Some have long sticks stuck in their blow holes. Repped.

I'm quoting you for no other reason than to make RandomBlowHole see it. Based just on this thread (and not any other interactions between the two of you), his reaction was comically overblownholed.

Thanks and repped to you too. I do go off track and blab about unrelated stuff at times. I don't know why people don't just skim or skip my long posts instead of getting upset by them. I would post more comments on the games themselves, but I only have Anna's Quest, Deponia, and Memoria. I haven't played any of them, so I can't give any details other than to say they looked good enough I was willing to pay a buck or so each.

I think there are tons of good games out there, as well as movies. Game and movie makers make tons of garbage, but they make so much stuff that if even 5% of games and movies are good, there are still more than I can keep up with. Buying bundles is a habit/addiction, but I don't really need any more. Like you I'd love to see better quality games included, but I'm sure those cost more to put in a bundle, so we tend to get middle of the road games or older top tier games which many of us already have. If you keep tabs on Indiegala (which I do out of habit) their bundles are horrible compared to even the worst HBs and most Fanatical bundles. Indiegala is mostly indie games by single-person developers, many games they bundle have 0-20 reviews, often low res graphics. Basically stuff that your average teenager could write on his own. Let's be thankful HB hasn't gotten anywhere that bad. One thing is for sure: Steam will accept any game regardless of quality. Steam has anywhere from pure garbage to awesome games and everything in between all mixed together.

My problem is probably me: $6 for the 3 games in the BTA or $7 more for the 3 games in the $12 tier may be good deals for good games (I don't know yet) to most people, but when you've bought too many games as I have it's not like I really need them so I'm looking for $1 or less. That's what I like about PC/Steam games... some are dirt cheap. I pay attention to PSN/XBL deals too, and I see lots of $5-$10 "indie" games in their weekly sales, and I check those on Steam and find that many are available there for substantially less. Most of those games I'll skip for $3 on PSN/XBL and wait for them to show up for $1 in a Steam bundle. So my problem is I'm just too backlogged and too big a cheapskate, and I can't say things concisely. Thankfully I type fast.

I appreciate that. It's OK if he wants to ignore me. My messages are too long, but it's not because I'm trying to annoy people but just can't be concise. I haven't ignored anyone because they might say something I want to see. I use my eyeballs and mouse to skip posts of little interest. I tend to blow past all the short messages and read the long posts carefully. Most people only look at the short posts (which often don't have much info) and ignore the long ones.
