Got the monitor today. Very fast shipping!! Ordered on friday night, got it today on Tuesday. Runs at 100hz out of the box with my DP 1.4 cable. Panel is very nice, deep/dark blacks, no dead pixels. I have not yet tried to overclock it yet but I am very happy with the purchase. I have had a 34 ultrawide before and this thing is totally worth it compared to the price i paid for one before. No difference at all. Sound is crap on the monitor but I knew that buying it to begin with. If you guys have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

Yes I have a 2015 MacBook Pro running my Dell U3415W which is the same resolution as this without issue.

It's 100hz for the panel. Freesync compliments it with its ranges. So you'd be okay to use this monitor with Nvidia cards and get 100hz from the monitor.

For IPS, it's LG. When it says "AHVA", it's AUO. AHVA is basically IPS, but AUO can't call it IPS, because IPS is trademarked by LG. If you see PLS, it's made by Samsung.

I used a mid-2015 MacBook Pro with an external monitor but I'd like to upgrade. Doesn't anyone know off-hand if it will drive this monitor at native resolution?

just bought this for $550 on the 25th which in conveniently outside of their price guarantee policy window. i am returning it because it will not display at the advertised 100hz. the highest i can get it to display at is 90hz, and there is stuttering even at that refresh rate

Anybody knows the panel type? I've got massdrop vast 35in monitor which is PVA and I really miss rich colors of the IPS screens.

Looking for my second monitor I'll get to go with the CF791, and this ones appearance has me hopeful, but I want to see more documented reviews, and man would I love to find an IPS at this size/resolution, or somethign similar.

This is 106 PPI, which is really really close to the recommended 110. My 27 1440p is a 108 ppi. For those who care about quality monitors.

I might get this for my second monitor. Will debate amongst myself.

nvidia, specifically a gtx 970. my previous 1440p monitor (crossover 2795) had no issues on 100hz from this card.

My guess is 100hz is for FreeSync.

Wonder if this is the VA panels on all the Korean panels and budget brands such as Viotek, or the IPS screens found on the Alienware, Acer, Asus panels.

AHVA is essentially IPS. I wonder who the manufacture of this panel is.
