via eBay, sold by Newegg and when you apply the coupon PICKDADSGIFT

Coupon Details https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2018...66165.html

Powercolor Red Dragon Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 Graphics Card [ebay.com] (8GBD5-3DHDV2/OC ) $240 + $5 Shipping = $245

Possibly be $224 after this $20 rebate [newegg.com] though you may have to contact newegg to request a proper invoice.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The 580 (especially the 8GB version) is more powerful than the 1050 Ti. Better than the 1060 in a lot of games. Also, if you're wanting to use a monitor with frame sync, don't forget that you'll have to get a "rarer", more expensive G-sync monitor for a GTX, where as the 580 can get it with a more affordable FreeSync monitor.

Pretty Good Deal. Lowest I have seen without rebate to deal with, but NJ tax and shipping charge hold this deal back. I am expecting to see this card to reach $200 ish mark by November from other non-tax merchants for NJ.

I got 1060 with 6 gb for the same price, don't think you can compare with 1050

I just need to be able to edit the videos on my x220 with an external monitor. I wanted to use DaVinci resolve and it does not even recognize the inbuild graphics card.

Thanks I'm in the market for either a 1060 or 580. Have had bad experience with a powercolor amd gpu dying and claiming rebate though so i'm a little iffy.

I have this card and it has been great. The MSI card has several variants that have different coolers and come with or with out a backplate. So for example, this PowerColor card has good thermals and a backplate, where as the lower end MSI Armor cards do not. Just depends which MSI 580 you are referring to really.

Do we think that Newegg will actually give us an invoice for the rebate? Has anyone successfully done this before?

Small reasons that come down to brand preference, warranty support, design of the card, and port offerings. Some manufacturers clock the cards a little different so one brand might be slightly slower or faster than another.

Most of the time it comes down to brand loyalty.
