Deep Blue Master 1000 Automatic Dive Watch - $149 after 40% off code

First ever deal post, so please be gentle.

Deep Blue Watches [deepbluewatches.com] is having a sale. Use the code "DEEP" to receive 40% off the Master 1000 and other models.
I have not gone through all of the watches to see if the discount is site-wide, so YMMV depending on model. Lowest price I've seen on them for a couple of years.

NY based company making watches in Hong Kong / China using Japanese movements. They make decent dive watches at affordable price. edit - looks like now they also have some swiss made / ETA movement watches.

Pretty decent bang for your buck auto divers. Been around for a decade, and the first few years they were okay. But now I think they are a solid choice for a first time diver, or a daily driver. I bought one 3-ish years ago, and the fit and finish we're surprisingly good. It's is usually my workshop/yardwork watch and gets beat up a lot, but it's still trucking.

I have a blue master 1000, looks great on included blue strap as well as DB stainless bracelet ordered along with it. Really nice for the $.

I like the watch, but lume is quite disappointing, especially for a diver. I like my other DB with the tritium tubes better.

I've heard the tritium tubes are pretty awesome. The lume is definitely not as bright as any of my seikos, but it's fine for working in my dim garage.

What's your take on the SS bracelet? I have the rubber strap, but much prefer solid and sturdy bracelet bands (not clanky ones like the OEM Seiko SKX comes with).

I have the Master 1000 in Pepsi with rubber bad, and a skx007 in black with strapcode superoyster.

To me the finish of the SKX is a bit cleaner. Ultimately, the Master 1000 is the beater workhorse, and my SKX is the one I use as a daily wearer. I do wish the skx had a sapphire crystal insert. But the stock one is fine.

I really like the bracelet. Definitely solid and a bit chunky. Fits the watch perfectly.

My watch came with the blue silicon band. It's really sharp looking with the blue face and blue bezel, but kind of loud. SS band is nice to tone it down a bit for the office.

Tritium is neat. You're correct that other watches like my Seiko Orange Monster start out brighter, but the 24/7 glow is cool.

I bought it at the same time as the watch, so it wasn't too pricey with the 40% discount.

I purchased the PRO SEA DIVER 1000M BRACELET ¼ BLUE/ BLACK BEZEL –BLACK DIAL last week to replace my work watch used for home, lease, dog trials, and hunting. I intend to bang it up and see how it does.

Looks nice but agree the lime is not as bright as other watches I own.

I feel your pain, brother. I too am cursed with freakishly small wrists and especially with the current big watch trend, there's a lot of awesome timepieces out there that I could never wear.

Don't know what your price range is, but this [youtube.com] is an absolutely stunning diver in a sanely sized 40mm case.

For other watch price range bottom feeders like me, the Deep Blue is a well regarded watch and by all accounts a great value at its regular price; doubly so with this sale. I personally can't pull off the larger case size. But if you can and you're interested, check out this over review [youtube.com].

This is a piece of sh-t, never seen divers to wear these anymore. Want a real diver's watch then get: https://www.shearwater.com/products/teric/
Right. Because a smartwatch is somehow the same as an analog automatic watch.

40 is about the largest I can do. I tried the omega seamaster 38 when on vacation and it was perfect but I couldn't justify a watch that cost more than what my car was valued at the time. I got a good tag rep from china for $250 and a 38.5 rollie rep just came out so I might get crazy and spend the $400 on that. message me directly if you are interested in some rep watch forums.
