Soundcore Arc Review

The Anker Soundcore Arc earphones are sleek looking and very well designed for active uses. Judging it as a pair of bluetooth earphones for sports and active lifestyle, this is definitely a great pair of earphones and the price is very reasonable too.

Package
The headsets come in a nice small package which includes the earphones, usb cable extra ear plugs and a nice carrying case. Like most bluetooth stereo earphones on the market, manufactures no longer include a power charger which is ok, but potential buyers may need to make a note of it.

Design and quality
The earphone is very well build. The outside ear cover is made of some quality metal in titanium grey color. The earhook is flexible and can bent to different angles to suit your ear size and shape. On the left side is also the integrated dongle for remote and mic. There is also a little plastic clip for wearer to adjust the lenth of the cable. Overall the build quality is excellent and I have no complaint of it.

Fit
Fitting the earphones in ear is overall very good because you can adjust the hooks. Even with the earphones on, I can still wear my sunglasses. Earphones are very light and comfortable to wear even for long period of exercising.
The fit is very secure, I was able to jog with it without it getting loose.
One thing to note is that the position of your fit will affect the sound quality. If the earphones are not positioned right into the ear canal, volume and sound quality would be lowered. This is especially true with you are exercising.

Sound quality
For jogging or for exercising, the sound quality is more than sufficient. There is an overall tonal balance. Treble tends to be on the thinner side and there is more emphasis on the bass though more bass would be even better. In an absolute scale, I would say the sound quality is above average for stereo Bluetooth earphones. Though not superior to wired earphones, the sound quality of the soundcore arc is more than sufficient for doing sports like jogging, HIIT etc. I believe some trade off has to be made in order to make the earphone rugged and IPX5 water/sweat resistant.

Battery
Battery life so far is excellent. while I cannot accurately time the total battery hours, but it's definitely close to the claim 10 hours.

Features
Features-wise, it's all the standard features that you'd expect from any bluetooth earphones. One extra feature I would hope they could add is the ability to allow ambient noise pass through , some called it "side tone". The main reason is for jogging on city streets, you don't want a total sonic isolation from the outside world. This would be great safety for joggers who need to watch out for traffics or to be alert about the environment around you.

The workaround is to adjust the earphone so that it's not to tightly seated in the ear and allow some outside noise, however by doing that , the volume and sound quality is noticeably lowered.

Conclusion
Overall, I like the soundcore Arc very much as an exercise companion. Its ruggedness , build quality and water/sweat resistance are all the important features for use while exercising. While there is room for improvement in the sound quality department, at a price of 40 or lower this is definitely a great choice for people who hit the gym regularly or do exercise a lot.

I like them but need a better battery indicator for both charging and use. having the sound cut out on you without much notes disrupts my work to a grate degree.
