About $65 over the cost of retail together. Decent deal it seems, if not red hot.

Also, rebates are obnoxious.

Not a bad deal, but $450 for this combo would've made it truly slick. I mean look at AMD... they have the 2700/X going for below $260 on good sales/promos. I've yet to see the 8700k go below $330.

Yeah this is a deal if you really want this Mobo, but just a few bucks under if you got more reasonably priced one. If you have access to microcenter this is not a deal at all though.

I haven't see the 2700x below 295, the 2700 was 204 yesterday though. The problem is you need 3200mhz+ cas14 ram to get the most from ryzen, which is $50-60 higher than what you can use on the Intel and have almost no performance penalty for.

I picked up a 2600x for $183 yesterday, I paid more for the ram I'm pairing with it.Frown

That is a good price but I probably would not have bought it even if I saw it because 2700 was 205 albeit briefly. I was pissed. I thought I wasn't but I am slowly feeling that I am pissed.

There is still a slim hope that I will have an i5-8600K and a Z370 board delivered from Fry's. That will be a consolation if ...

Yeah, but you'd have to buy a cooler for 2700 to overclock it and perform to the 2600x level in gaming, so really it'd be like $240-250 which is why I passed on that. Plus with AM4 you'll still be good for Zen 2 when it comes out. That's all that kept me from snagging an 8700k yesterday.

Ya know I wasn't really going to reply to this but just had to point out, that it doesn't matter. Ebay has a 30 day return policy, meaning, the seller is the one that is SCREWED if they lied about the product.

I live close to a MC and I find the only positive thing about it is the convenience of getting the part you need in the same day, which is awesome at times but otherwise price wise I always find myself buying stuff from newegg - no tax, occasional sales, coupons etc
