while I don't think it's probably not out very soon, I do not believe there is no new GPU either. Because then it doesn't make sense why Nvidia cut back on their card production, as we all know the demand from miners has gone away (as a miner myself). Also no new GPU for too long, is bad for business and company reputation. My guess is that by September we should hear something.
Lol oh my.. If two negatives make a positive, 3 negatives must make a super positive.

Not trying to steer anyone clear of this deal because I think it's well worth the asking price for this specific model, but I think its worth noting a few things for those who aren't fully aware of how these hybrid style cards work.
1. They typically cool amazingly. I use both 980ti and 1080ti hybrids in my current builds. I built the 980ti hybrid using NZXT G12 with Arctic 120ml cooler. My 1080ti is MSI Seahawk which came with a hybrid cooler. Both cards rarely ever see 50C and I O/C them hard, at least +125-+150mhz on GPU with 500-700mhz on ram. Cooling capability is exceptional.
2. The integration of said hybrid cooler can be a pain to say the least. I've never personally dealt with EVGA hybrid but I can speak on behalf of MSI (who teams with Corsair for its coolers). The integration of fan control back to the card does not exist for MSI. Meaning I need an open PWM/DC fan header on my board to control the fan for the GPU cooler. This might not seem like much to everyone, but for this caliber of a card to make an idiotic mistake like that is uncanny. So your GPU main fan speed is no longer curved / controlled by the card lol it's either DC (static @ specific RPM) or PWM and curved by the CPU heat lol makes zero sense. Now I also owned Gigabyte Waterforce 1080ti which it's fan WAS controlled by the card. The PWM cable fed back into the card and plugged into an existing GPU fan header directly on the card.

Again, I do not know specifically about EVGA, but it's certainly worth noting to someone that either may / may not have an open fan header to use on MB or isn't comfortable having to control the cooling on their $800 card lol

As an FYI, with the NZXT kit I was able to purchase a GPU fan header converter that allowed me to plug my Arctic fans back into the GPU's fan. The auto control isn't perfect but its much better than 100% manual. That cable was an extra $10 from Amazon but it's well worth it to control VRM fan + 2 120mm fan on rad + pump on cooler. All fans now match each other in speed and respond relatively decent to GPU temp curve.

There are other options for these hybrids that involve installing a thermistor to the back of the card and all kinda other non sense that I'd personally never want to recommend to anyone that just paid this kind of money for the card.

All in all, card is still worth it because it's a 1080ti and is leaps and bounds ahead of the other cards on the market (excluding Titan / Volta). Good deal but might come with some stipulation / baggage Smilie

People need to stop spreading all these rumors that haven't been confirmed. People have also saying it would come out March, April, July, etc etc. Thank goodness I didn't listen to those people and just snagged up bunch of 1080 Ti's.

Coming from a CEO who was handing out green sandwiches at Computex, I am not sure that we can be entirely positive he wasn't just trolling with those remarks. I don't think you should completely dismiss the possibility of new cards.

Why would Nvidia release a new card when their yields are extremely high for this generation, they are still selling for above MSRP and they have no competition from AMD....

You can be certain they will now that AMD said vega 7nm for gaming comes out in 2H. nvidia is vicious , 1070ti is a prime example of it. They will take every opportunity they can get to knock down AMD laugh out loud. We will see something , maybe a pascal refresh maybe something better question is when
As far as this deal goes, I just watched GN;s video on this and sounds like this card came out 8 months ago at 850 (no game) so this is a decent deal even without mining. Since Pascal responds really well to temperatures, i would say its the absolute best card you can buy outside of going with a waterblock setup because the cooler is the best money can buy.
