Anyone used this RGB bulb? How was the experience?

I think it's worth noting that the cheaper wall socket is also a repeater.

The cheaper one is hit or miss. Some people (myself included, and I bought about 10 of them) experience absurdly high power readings (like 2000 watts for a lightbulb) and the things shut off around 1500 watts, so even small devices will trigger the emergency shutoff. Works for a small lamp and that's about it. Some purchasers have had no such problem. I can't speak for the more expensive ones; haven't tried them.

Also, on the cheaper ones the USB is always on. The more expensive ones the USB might be switched (i.e. turns off when the main outlet turns off) but I can't say for sure.

You get what you pay for. I got two of the cheaper outlets from a previous deal and both failed after 1 use. The first one gets power but doesn't turn the plug on and the second one is just dead. I can't comment on the more expensive version but I wouldn't waste money on them. I would go with the GE outlets, though I haven't had any experience with the indoor version, the outdoor ones are rock solid, I've had one running string lights outside for several months now with no issues and just got a second one to run a pool pump.

And it's also worth noting that it's a P.O.S. that squeals like a mofo and will keep you up all night. Crappy electrical engineering and customer service that's passive-aggressive.
